What people loved

The scale is awe-inspiring in person, and many reviewers rank it among the most impressive things they've ever seenOne ticket also covers the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, so it's effectively a full day of ancient RomeWell maintained, with informative displays, lifts for visitors with disabilities and a water point to refill bottlesThe free exterior is impressive on its own, especially lit up at night

What wore them down

Named, timed tickets sell out. Without one booked online you often can't get inAirport-style security, and you must arrive about 15 min before your slotCrowded and hot inside in summer, with little relief from the sunThe standard ticket doesn't include the arena floor or underground. Those need a pricier Full Experience ticket
